The TeenBook Advisory Board (TAB) is a body of teenagers from across India who come together as a group to represent and put forward the needs of teenagers. This input and contribution help us enrich the content on our platforms so that it truly serves the needs of teenagers.
Through this board, we create and nurture a network of young people and empower them through programmes that would help enhance their team working leadership, presentation, project management, strategic thinking and expression skills.
The TAB members also participate in meetings/activities/workshops designed by TeenBook and represent the voices of teenagers to guide the work at TeenBook.
The members’ ages range from 13 to 19 and they will come from different states across India. The members receive a wider exposure to skills like building content, leadership and teamwork along with an experience like none other that will help them in prospective career opportunities.
During these months, the teenagers are given approximately two weeks of their time on TAB activities. These sessions are spread across six months and are planned in sync with their school calendar.
The first TeenBook Advisory Board (TAB) session lasted from 7th May’23 to Dec’23 with 7 sessions in total.
